Epoxy Flooring & Line Marking Project Completed in Etobicoke, Ontario
We recently completed a large-scale epoxy flooring and line marking project in Etobicoke, Ontario, delivering a durable, high-performance surface tailored for an industrial environment. This 14,000 sq. ft. facility required extensive preparation and repair to ensure a long-lasting finish that could withstand heavy use while improving safety and functionality.
The project began with the removal of existing sloped mortar in designated areas, followed by concrete repairs along approximately 750 linear feet where walls and curbs had been removed. Proper surface preparation is critical in epoxy applications, so the entire floor was diamond ground to create the ideal profile for coating adhesion. All cracks and joints were carefully patched to prevent future deterioration and ensure a seamless finish.
To address uneven surfaces, we installed resurfacing mortar in previously sloped sections and applied additional resurfacer to approximately 750 sq. ft. of damaged and low areas. This step ensured a level, uniform substrate across the entire floor, including precise leveling at the transition to the existing facility.
Once preparation was complete, we applied a fresh coat of grey epoxy across the full 14,000 sq. ft., creating a clean, durable, and easy-to-maintain surface. The final stage focused on safety and organization, with the installation of 544 linear feet of white “mouse” lines, a 3-foot-wide green pedestrian walkway spanning 250 feet, and 250 feet of yellow safety lines to clearly define work zones and traffic flow.
